How it works

No scissors, no glue, no printer. No crafting skills either. A short tutorial on first launch shows you around.
1 Snap
You take a photo. Schnipsel does the rest.
Put a keepsake on the table, like a ticket, a postcard or a kid's drawing, and take a photo. Schnipsel cuts it out cleanly, gives it a sticker border and reads the date, title and place along the way. You just tap what you want to keep.
2 Stick
A board that looks handmade.
The sticker lands at a slight tilt, as if you glued it in yourself. Add trip photos, washi tape, stickers, stamps or a few handwritten words. Made a mistake? One tap undoes it.

Any photo becomes a postage stamp.
Take a photo or pick one from your library. Slide it under the perforated frame, choose a look and a paper color, and tap Cut Out. The stamp lands on your board with its little teeth, right next to the ticket from that day.

Good to know.
Which iPhone do I need?
An iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Cutting out works best on a table with some contrast to the paper.
Is there an iPad version?
Not yet. Version 1 is made for iPhone. iPad may follow later.
Is it hard to learn?
No. On first launch a short tutorial with five pictures shows you the essentials. You can watch it again any time in Settings with “Watch Tutorial Again”.
How do I show a board to my family?
Choose “Share Link” on the board. Whoever gets the link sees it on schnipsel.app in any browser, no app needed. Private links are encrypted, and you can stop sharing any time.
Do I need an internet connection?
Not for cutting out, reading or designing. Map postcards, weather on stamps, links and iCloud sync need a connection.
What happens when I get a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account. Your boards and shoeboxes come back through iCloud.
Can I print my boards?
Yes. Share a board as an image or as an A4 PDF, ready for the printer. A large board simply spreads over several sheets.
How much does Schnipsel cost?
The download is free, and so is your first board, with every tool. For as many as you like, you unlock Schnipsel once. No subscription, all updates included, and with Family Sharing it covers your whole family.
What happens to my boards without the unlock?
Nothing. What you made always stays viewable, editable and shareable. Schnipsel only asks for the unlock when you create another new board.
What is in the Autumn 2026 sticker pack?
Over seventy autumn stickers: foxes, pumpkins, hedgehogs, mushrooms, acorns and all kinds of leaves. It is a limited edition and comes with Schnipsel Unlimited, so if you have unlocked, it is already yours.
